Truck driver

Main functions

The driver’s primary responsibilities will be to dispose of hazardous materials in bulk in the United States and Ontario.

Requirements and working conditions

Education:  Secondary vocational school (DEP), Heavy vehicle driving

Completed Years of experience related to the job offer: 1 to 2 years experience

Description of qualifications: Excellent driving record, good sense of organization, be vigilant and resourceful.

Professional qualification recognized outside the school or university network: class 1 license

Chemical plant laborer

Main functions

Chemistry technician

Main functions

As a technician in a hazardous materials management center, you will be working with a wide variety of residual materials.

Physicochemical analysis techniques are therefore essential in the characterization of the products for which the data sheets do not necessarily represent reality.

You will also be responsible for the deactivation activities and act as a resource person for the operations.

In addition to contributing to the development of the company, you will ensure the monitoring and management of hazardous materials in accordance with regulations.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES -Manage the analysis of the inputs and outputs of hazardous materials that Solva-Rec processes

  • Sample and analyze samples using a variety of analytical methods
  • Help chemists maintain the inventory;
  • Send to the Operations and Compliance Chemist the code change information for internal nonconformities;
  • Act as a support to the technician at the reception-shipment; -Responsible for acid / base / oxidant neutralization work;
  • Assist in the identification of strangers at the Labpacks positions (in conjunction with the operations-environment-compliance chemist);
  • See to the proper functioning of laboratory equipment and report breakage; – Ensure the improvement of the follow-up of the samples and the results of analyzes;
  • Ensure the control of emissions from chemical activities according to the standards in place; -Tous other related task.

Requirements and working conditions

Education level: Collegial (DEC)

Completed Years of experience related to the job offer: 7 to 11 months of experience

  • Description of qualifications: – Bachelor’s degree in chemistry (completed or in the process of being awarded), an asset; – Eligible for the Ordre des chimistes du Québec, an asset;
  • Experience in a factory environment an asset; – Attention to detail and work well done; – Good sense of organization;
